High-End Prostitution Ring Broken, Police Say; 4 Arrested
New York (New York Sun) - FFederal prosecutors say they have broken up a high-end international prostitution ring that ran a thriving business in New York. Prosecutors yesterday charged one man and three women with running the prostitution service, which advertised itself on the Internet as Emperors Club VIP.
According to its Web site, which was taken down at midday yesterday, the Emperors Club offered to introduce clients to models, as well as provide investment services and deals on contemporary art work. The Web site billed Emperors Club as the "elite recreation venue and private club for those accustomed to excellence." Court documents unsealed yesterday said Emperors Club involved 50 prostitutes who billed between $1,000 and $5,500 an hour. Several phone numbers associated with Emperors Club have been under surveillance by the FBI, which intercepted more than 5,000 telephone calls and text messages during the investigation, according to court documents.
Excerpts of those intercepted calls, provided in court documents, offer a window onto some of the managerial challenges that confronted the four defendants who allegedly managed the operation. In them, the managers discuss how some of the Emperor Club prostitutes had difficulty taking imprints of their clients' American Express cards, making it difficult to charge them. Prostitutes weren't always punctual in arriving at their engagements. There were scheduling conflicts to resolve caused by the photo shoots of the women who modeled during the day. And clients called in wanting to know what they should tell their accountants about the expenses they were racking up with the Emperors Club.

Online Hooker Ring Busted (The Smoking Gun ) -- NEW YORK :
An international call girl ring that solicited wealthy male clients via a web site that rated its hookers on a scale of diamonds (and charged accordingly) has been busted by federal agents. The operators of the New York-based Emperors Club were named in a felony complaint unsealed today in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. Before the Emperors Club web site was taken down this afternoon, TSG grabbed the below screen shot showing part of the firm's hooker menu. Another page from the site described how its rates were based on a woman's rating (which ranged from three to seven diamonds) and noted that "Gift Certificates Available Upon Request." A detailed FBI affidavit provides other details about the Emperors Club operation, which charged up to $5500 an hour for one of its 50 prostitutes, who operated in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, London, and Paris. The affidavit notes that one prospective hooker, who declined to work for the company because it did not pay enough, complained that a friend of hers had sex twice in an hour with an Emperors Club john who did not even spring for dinner beforehand. In one wiretapped conversation, Mark Brener, the ring's leader, complained that one of his hookers looked like a "butcher." During another call, Emperors Club employees discussed the "baggage" a hooker carries when she is a mother who has to leave appointments early to pick up her kids from school. Emperor's Club Call Girl Photos: Client No. 9, Eliot Spitzer's Fall (The Post Chonicle) -- NEW YORK - Emperor's Club Call Girl pictures online, Photographs - Governor Eliot Spitzer surely didn't plan it to go down like it did.
A few days ago when a bust was announced that included the Emperor's Club, no one would have guessed that it would bring down client No. 9 which is Spitzer, the New York Governor.
The website for Emperor's Club VIP, since taken down, said this:

It's interesting to point out that a look-a-like to Hollywood celebrity Paris Hilton may have once worked for the Emperor's Club VIP, although she denies it, and it was revealed that girls worked for the starting price of $800 per hour.
The look-a-like, Natalie Reid, denies she worked as an escort for Emperors' Club VIP, where prices start at $800 an hour. The agency's Web site had listed a Canadian woman named "Melissa" with "amazing physical beauty, high intelligence and the purity of youth," plus a photo of a Reid look-alike. The woman who answered the phone at Emperors' told PAGE SIX: "I can't help you reach her because she no longer works here.

Prostitutes in Emperor’s Club VIP Made up to $5,500 per Hour (Info Fuzz) -- NEW YORK
Most folks are happy with a job making $50,000 a year. But, how about a job making $5,500 an hour? That’s how much the top starred prostitutes working for the Emperor’s Club VIP were making until the prostitution ring was brought down by federal agents.
The Emperor’s Club VIP was an international prostitution ring with some well to do clients capable of paying such high hourly rates. There were four arrests made for violation of federal prostitution laws and other charges included money laundering. The accusation is that more than $1 million in payments from clients was laundered through the Emperor’s Club VIP website.
Manhattan federal prosecutors stated that the accused head of the Emperor’s Club VIP, Mark Brener, had more than $600,000 in cash in his New Jersey home that was found by Internal Revenue Service agents.
There were some prostitutes who were not paid more than $5,500 per hour and the hourly rate was determined by a star system. The highest rated prostitutes received this amazingly high hourly fee for sexual favors, but a seven-diamond prostitute only charge $3,100 per hour. “Models” that were ranked with only three diamonds charged a modest $1000 per hour.
The available women’s photos were plastered all over the Emperor’s Club VIP’s website and only addressed by their first name. Women from all over the world were recruited to work for the Emperor’s Club VIP prostitution ring, including women from Paris, London, New York, Washington, and Miami. There were more than 50 different prostitutes to choose from in the above cities. Appointments were made online and prepaid.
Brener has an alleged accomplice by the name of Cecil “Katie” Suwal, 23. The two allegedly hid the large number of cash and credit card payments in fake bank accounts given names like QAT Consulting and QAT International. This was more under the radar than labeling accounts “Emperor’s Club VIP that’s for sure. The Emperor’s Club VIP accounts were under the supervision of Suwal as well as two booking agents including Tanya Hollander of Rhinebeck, New York, and Tameka Rachelle Lewis, of Brooklyn. Hollander and Lewis could receive up to five years in prison if found guilty. Brener and Suwal are looking at up to 20 additional years in prison if the money laundering charges are true.
The ring was taken down after four bank accounts were seized and thousands of emails, text messages, and phone calls were intercepted. Three locations were raided. Of the three Emperor’s Club VIP locations that were raided, one was located in Brooklyn.

Report: 'Client 9' May Have Wanted Unprotected Sex (CBS) -- Gov. Spitzer Allegedly Involved In Call Girl Ring That Charged Hourly Rate Of $1,000-$5,500
NEW YORK (CBS) ? CBS station WCBS-TV in New York City has learned more about the Emperor's Club VIP and "Client 9." He used the name George Fox and sources say George Fox was in fact Elliot Spitzer.
The Emperors Club VIP caters to a wealthy international clientele.
The feds say some 50 prostitutes with names like "Maya" and "Sienna" were rated on a scale of one to seven "diamonds" and clients were charged accordingly. The hourly rate: from $1,000 to $5,500.
For that kind of money, "Client 9" allegedly expected unsafe sex.
In the documents, an Emperor's Club booking agent told "Kristen" before the rendezvous on the evening before Valentine's Day, the client "would ask you to do things that, like, you might not think were safe."
Kristen's response: "I have a way of dealing with that. I'd be like, 'listen dude, you really want the sex?' You know what I mean?"
The alleged leader of the ring, Mark Brener, lives in the Briarcliff high-rise in Cliffside Park, N.J. Neighbors are stunned that this place has a connection to the Spitzer sex scandal.
"It's very surprising," one neighbor told WCBS-TV.
Brener is charged with promoting prostitution and money laundering.
Three others were arrested -- Cecil Suwal, who lives with Brener, Tanya Hollander and alleged booking agent Temeka Lewis, who lived on St. James Street in Brooklyn.
